A new week starts.

At the desk, 7:04 a.m.

It's been a wild few days. I thought I would spend the weekend working on the Alex the Fey novel.

I spent the weekend working on the backend of these sites. Super Steve too.

I'm not really sure what to say about all of it, except that modern life requires a lot of finesse and skills. I don't think I could have ever imagined that I would devote the better part of four days to fighting with the websites.

But that's modern life. That's what it means to be an author now. Used to be that if you wrote something great, that was enough. But now, you must be fairly computer savvy to keep everything going.

I'm certainly not alone. When the Denver Cereal was hacked earlier this year, I received numerous emails from people saying their sites were hacked. It's just how it is now.

Once again, we think we've got this think licked. We'll know soon.

In the meantime, here are a few photos from the times I wasn't sitting at my desk this weekend.

Harvested Sunflower heads to keep them away from the squirrels

Rose and I went out to Sand Creek to chase some sticks

The water is so low due to the drought

More August Harvest

If the website situation holds, I'll be back to writing and back here tomorrow.
