Are you typical?

National Geographic is doing a year long project on the typical human being. Odds are, if you're reading this post, you're not typical.

Do you want to be?

I never have. At the same time, it's good to think about what is typical now - and in the future. These folks shape our world now and will continue to do so in the future. No matter how we cling to our first world notions, we are not typical.

We are blessed, unique, special, and even the poorest among us is wealthy. We are not typical.

So I say, embrace the typical human while understanding that below his exterior lies a heart that's as unique as yours.
