Five little trees + one small backyard = Holy Crap every inch of my body hurts!
Our garden efforts continue with the addition of fruit trees. If you read Denver Cereal, my vision for our yard is not dissimilar to the Castle’s yard. Of course the Castle is fiction. And I am merely one sore woman! Let me introduce the trees. There’s an apricot and a nectarine which we plan to espalier on the fence (between us and the drug dealers). The other three have four varieties of fruit grafted to their trunks. Thus, we have four varieties of cherry, apple and plum on single root stalks. It will take two to three years to see how the trees do. ?(And maybe by then I won’t be so sore!) For now, they’ve the best start we could manage for them.
