Lust.

I have lusted in silence.  I have lusted in lusty lust.

Saturday, my lust was full filled.

Here’s what happened…..

We were on our way to attend an Earth Expo (another story).

“Do you mind if we stop off at Meinenger’s?  I need to get some more ink,” I said.

“Where right here,” D. said.

He pulled over to the curb.

“This will just take a second.  You can stay here if you want to,” I said.

“No, I need to pick up something myself,” he said.

I went to the back of the store where the ink is stored.  I went through the ink selection  until I found the make and color that I like.  When I reached the counter, D was putting something in his pocket.

“What did you get?” I asked.

“You don’t wear jewelry, so I got you something you will enjoy,” he said.  “Happy Anniversary.”

What did he get????  What is the object of my long lusting???

I’ve lusted for this compact Cross Fountain tip pen.  This is what it looks like with the cap on.

This is what it looks like with the “cap off.”

Here it is!  Ready to write! :)

Have you ever seen anything so lust worthy!?! It’s so gorgeous and works so well and I love it. But not more than my other fountain pens. This pen has it’s own compact love.

I guess, my lusting wasn’t so secret.

  1. As far as lusts go Og that one is pretty light weight. That ink though… that’s another story!

  2. Does it just write???? hehe.

    Peace

  3. elegantly beautiful……write like the wind!

btw, does it vibrate too? what about lasering?

ps. i’m a lefty……….i’d have ink smeared up my arm if i used a lusty weapon like that.

  4. you are out of control

  5. Ooooh, very nice. I was lusting my swing and I got it. I’m unhappy every time it rains, because I cannot come out and enjoy it. Am I addicted to it? Yeah, I am!

  6. TWMark - Ooh - yes, blue-black Pelikan. It’s wonderful stuff - not too runny, not too thick. Just right.

Odat - It writes lusty, all be it compact, scenes. ;)

Awareness - WHAT?? Uh! I cannot imagine life without fountain pens…. I guess, you’ll have to be president of the US instead.

    FuriousBall - Crazy, I know.

Ivanhoe - Yes, swing lust is lovely too! I’m glad your lust was fulfilled!

  7. that pen better write for you at that price!! lol. who doesn’t like jewelery???????? this is an abomination AND THE REAL STORY if you ask me… *muttering* she doesn’t like jewelery… JEWELERY! sigh. please explain.

  8. very very pretty! I have a lust thing for pens, too :) Dude, do you know how hard it was to leave the i out of that word? ;-)

  9. Wow, Claudia, I’m a pen lover too! That pen is the nicest anniversary gift I ever saw except maybe for diamond earrings! No, no I don’t mean that! Ha! :)

  10. Jameil - I love jewelry. I just don’t wear it. Even my wedding ring. I don’t wear it to bed and I forget to put it on. I also work at home. When I worked in an office, I wore my wedding ring every day. Now? I wear it when I leave the house but that’s about it. I don’t change my earrings either. I’m kind of useless that way.

Janet - I never saw that - very very funny.

Mary/The Teach - Diamond earrings sound fun too! I love fountain pens so much that diamond earrings only pale slightly in the shine of the nib.

  11. What a fabulous pen. I used Elysees for years - their nibs produce a lovely sharply defined line. Then I had, as a gift from P, a Mont Blanc which was stolen almost as soon as I received it and since then, chastened, I have stuck to cheap Parker fountains. This post has done for me. I feel a purchase coming on.

  12. That’s a beauty alright! I used to have a thing for pens, I can understand your lust. Bravo to the Hubs!

  13. Oh, wow!! There is nothing nicer than a good pen, and I love fountain pens. You don’t just write with them, you create art. Yes, it is definitely lust worthy!

  14. It is lovely. Yay for you!

  15. Moobs! My goodness. You will get expelled from the country if you, a lawyer, don’t have a nice fountain tip! Get yourself shopping - consider it an order from the Queen!

Jill - Oh, your pen lust will return… it’s only hibernates, never abates! ;)

Josie - This one is like a hidden beauty that lives in your pocket! So fun!

    Christy - Yay indeed! :)

  16. Still hunting for the job, had a couple of interviews with one company, but they are stalling now. Did not hear from them for two weeks. You would think they’d at least drop me a note of regret after I did tests for them and all. So just keeping on answering adds *sigh*

  17. Somebody loves you. He loves you enough to pay attention to what your lusting after. That is really better than the pen.

  18. Livi would love the ‘purpur’! That is a gorgeous pen. Have you ever been to or ordered from Levenger’s? We have a fountain pen we sign “important” papers with: marriage license, house papers, wills, etc.

Is this the kind with the little ink inside a barrell in it?
