Wanna be a lazy super hero? (#2)
It’s hard to imagine that people aren’t aware of the risks of breast cancer. Yet in 2003 an estimated 39,500 women died of this disease. According to the United States Center for Disease Control, “Deaths from these diseases occur disproportionately among women who are uninsured or underinsured. Mammography and Papanicolaou (Pap) tests are underused by women who have less than a high school education, are older, live below the poverty level, or are members of certain racial and ethnic minority groups.” Fundraising for breast cancer awareness is curtail to help women who either cannot afford the tests or don’t realize they need to take them.
3M has launched a novel campaign. Until October 31, 2005, they will donate 50 cents toward breast cancer awareness (up to $100,000) for anyone who creates an electronic post it . Click on the link. Create a post it.
