Friday’s inspiration comes from Seth Godin
Seth Godin is a web guru. If you are a normal person, you have probably never heard of Seth Godin. Being a not-so-normal person, and a webbie, I read Seth Godin’s books and blog. He technically writes on marketing, however, he really writes about culture - particularly our current ever changing culture. He inspires me to do better, be more remarkable and believe that there’s more in the world than million dollar paychecks.
I wanted to pass along something he wrote in his blog today. Maybe they are words of wisdom. Maybe they are the current facts of life. I prefer to believe that they are the rebel call for anyone who is under 50 years old.
He said:
“Make something worth making.
Sell something worth talking about.
Believe in what you do because you may have to do it for a long time before it catches on.
Don’t listen to the first people who give you feedback.
Don’t give up. Not for a while, anyway.”
If you don’t start today, spend the weekend thinking about it. And start on Monday.
