A weekend watching movies
As we are on hiatus, I spent the weekend watching movies and knitting. (Yes, yes, I knit. I am currently working on a cardigan for my sister.) Yesterday we watched the classic Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Arc. Ok, it was a trip down memory lane. On a whim, we decided to look up the arc of the covenant and found this arc interactive on the Learning Channel. Love the cool voice! This interactive gives an interesting perspective on what “the actual manifestation of God on earth” might be - an electrical battery.
This brings to mind all of the mysteries of life that have been “solved” by science. What if the “actual manifestation of God on earth” is electricity? Electricity runs through every living being thus God could easily be the electricity inside us. Are we then misusing God by using this electricity to charge our computers or run the Internet? Or is the ever presence of electricity also the ever presence of God. As modern scientific people, do we expect God to be more than the “charge” inside us?
Certainly, it could have been an old parlor trick.
It’s just worth a thought.
