It turns out ….

It turns out that acupuncture has proven to decrease high blood pressure. In a recently released study, acupuncture was able to reduce high blood pressure in the majority of study participants.

I decided to give it a try. I went to Open Grove participant Martha Lucas. She is really fun and fabulous. She said that high blood pressure in Chinese Medicine is due to a lack of core energy which leads to having out of balance chi. I have been twice. I haven’t seen real blood pressure change, but it takes a while to come into effect.

Now I must confess. I love getting acupuncture. I feel a little foolish for not trying acupuncture earlier. Acupuncture seems to work really well for my body and my system. In fact, my grandfather used to take Chinese herbs and receive acupuncture as far back as 1930. So I guess it’s just in my genes!

I am still taking my ace inhibitors in addition to the chinese herbs. I’ll let you know if it works!
