A visit with the psychics

Thanks again for your interest, I look forward to hearing back from you.

This morning I had my annual visit with psychics about what to expect in the upcoming year. In an effort to continue to explore our options, we chose to use Monte and Amy from http://www.theenchantedworld.com. Boy where they fun! I spoke with them for about an hour about everything from bees (of course!) to the economy. Much of our conversation will be in our Endings and Beginnings audio magazine (published on Monday, January 10, 2005). I wanted to share some of their ideas about the Open Grove!

Monte was certain that we were going to move into streaming video. I was so embarrassed when he told me that the reason we hadn’t done it before is that I didn’t want to be a celebrity. (How did he know!?!) He said we also have a “major wonderful review” from someone in Boston. (HUH?? Boy if someone knows about that I would love to see it!) We are going to be doing remotes and going “over water” to do interviews. They also said it would be a year of growth here at the Grove. Amy suggested that we get into helping people find their matches. (Well, Ok….) Anyway, it was really fun to hear what someone who doesn’t know anything about us in the Open Grove thinks our future is!

Oh, bees…. They suggested that we switch to Russian bees. We currently use Italian bees (Wooten Golden 3 banded Italian bees to be exact), but they are susceptable to the varroa mite. Russian bees are supposed to be good workers and resistant to the mite. Monte suggested that there will be a bee from Africa which will solve the problem. We laughed about the “killer bees” or Africanized bees (a USDA experiment gone bad with Brazillian bees).

Happy New Year! Thanks for joining us in 2005!
